Some battles in life are fought over territory. Some are fought over favorite toys or a comfortable spot on the couch.

But sometimes, the most epic standoffs happen over something completely transparent.

When a quirky, opinionated stray dog arrived at a local shelter, he wasn’t afraid of the loud noises in the kennel. He wasn’t nervous around the new volunteers. In fact, he was incredibly bold. But he quickly found himself facing an absolute mystery that he simply could not comprehend.

The Ultimate Nemesis: The Invisible Flap

Arnold’s new living quarters came with a massive perk: a private doggy door.

The clear plastic flap was designed to allow him to move freely from the warm indoors to his outdoor run with total ease. For most dogs, this is an exciting luxury. For Arnold, it was a deeply confusing obstacle.
