It has now been two full years since that terrifying rescue in the dark drain.
The tiny, trembling puppy has grown into a mature, beautiful, and deeply affectionate dog. She owns her space with a quiet, graceful confidence and has completely left her sewer nightmare behind her.
Yet, despite her incredible physical and emotional transformation, a heartbreaking reality still hangs over her.
Dumbo is still waiting for her forever family.
For reasons Selina simply cannot understand, no one has stepped forward to claim this incredible, loving girl. She has watched other dogs come and go, while she remains patiently waiting for a home to call her very own.
But Selina remains fiercely hopeful for her foster dog. She knows without a doubt that whoever finally opens their heart and their home to Dumbo will receive a loyalty that is unmatched in this world.
“When she opens up to someone, she really does,” Selina says.
Because when Dumbo finally lets you in, she loves with a depth that is truly unbelievable. Her story started in the cold, forgotten dark, but her true ending is out there—waiting to be filled with the warmth of a forever home.
